IHG welcomes Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan to portfolio

InterContinental Hotels Group is opening the Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan hotel in Mazatlan, Mexico.

The new-build 164-room beachfront property is the first Holiday Inn Resort in Sinaloa State and the fourth in Mexico, joining the Holiday Inn Resort Acapulco, Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos and the recently opened Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa properties.

Gerardo Murray, regional vice president, brands and marketing, Mexico, Latin America and The Caribbean, IHG, said: “With the opening of the Holiday Inn Resort property in Mazatlan, IHG continues to expand the brand’s presence along the Pacific Coast.

“The new resort offers another exciting destination where families can create lasting memories and experience unforgettable vacations at one of the mos beautiful beach destinations in Mexico, and we are pleased to welcome it to the IHG family.”

The Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan is the newest hotel on the beach in the Golden Zone.

Featuring spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Deer Island, its 164 guestrooms include 21 suites and two KidSuites, and feature comfortable queen, king-sized or two double beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair, 49” HD flat screen TV and an in-room coffee machine with complimentary coffee.

The hotel’s amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness centre, business centre and several meeting rooms with capacity for up to 160 people.

The hotel’s Concordia restaurant serves both international and regional dishes.

Guests can enjoy a refreshing drink in the Bar La Vinata or at the 13th floor rooftop Skybar El Vigia, which also offers striking ocean views.

One of Mexico’s most important commercial and tourism ports, Mazatlan is at the confluence of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortes.

The city’s quality and diversity of tourist attractions, including Old Mazatlan’s historic downtown, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Plaza Machado and the Malecon of Mazatlan, make it a unique destination for sightseeing.

Owned and managed by Desarrollos Turisticos Clami, the Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan hotel is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.

Located on Playa Gaviotas 220, Zona Dorada, the hotel is walking distance to the Malecon, which is the largest in Mexico and the longest in Latin America, and provides beautiful views of Deer Island, a World Heritage site and the largest of the three Mazatlan islands.

The Holiday Inn Resort Mazatlan hotel is ideal for travellers due to its proximity to the historical downtown and the Convention Centre and location only 30 minutes from General Rafael Buelna International Airport.
