New Sabre Exclusives Program Launched

Sabre introduced a series of new initiatives for agencies, including access to exclusive discounted hotel inventory, Web fares, yield management software and customer relationship management tools.

With a Sabre Exclusives program, the company said it became the first GDS to develop a merchant model program.

Sabre will negotiate exclusive hotel deals—Wyndham International and The Venetian Resort Casino in Las Vegas have signed on so far—and will pay agents 10% commission plus overrides.

Under the arrangement, Sabre will set the retail prices and guarantee agencies` commission payments within two weeks after the traveler checks out of the property.

The Web fares will be provided through a deal with New York-based FareChase. On the Sabre eVoya platform, agencies will be able to search multiple airline Web sites with one inquiry and also will see how the search compares with published fares on the Sabre GDS.

The Web search will be launched without booking capability, a spokesman said.

In addition, Sabre Magnify, a yield management and CRM tool, will enable agencies to determine their status in meeting negotiated agreements with airline partners.

It also will enable the agencies to assess how their sales compare with agencies as a whole in a given city or for a particular city pair.
A CRM component of Sabre Magnify will enable agencies to better grasp the buying patterns of individual customers, including breakdowns of their corporate and personal travel.
