SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (Feb. 6, 2002) - The Comfort Suites - Southfield`s newest all suites hotel - will hold an invitation-only grand opening at 24977 Northwestern Highway (M10 and Evergreen) on Thursday, February 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence, Chamber of Commerce President Ed Powers, chamber members, city officials and representatives of Choice Hotels International, franchisor of the Comfort Suites brand, are expected to attend. The three-story hotel features 81 suites with one king or two queen-size beds. Each suite features a sleeper sofa, refrigerator, microwave, wet bar, 27-inch remote-control color TV with Direct TV, two-line speaker telephone with dataport and hi-speed T1 internet connection, coffee maker, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Some suites have jacuzzi tubs. Each king executive suite features a full-size desk, ergonomic chairs, two-line speaker telephone with data port, well-lit work area and whirlpool tub.
