Esteemed Business Publication Accords Mandarin Oriental Hotel Du Rhone, Geneva, Country`s Rising Sta

Switzerland’s renowned business journal, Bilanz, has accorded Mandarin Oriental Hotel du Rh™ne, Geneva more awards than any other luxury hotel in Switzerland within its annual business poll.

The results appeared within the August 2002 edition of Bilanz as part of their annual best business hotels survey. In addition, the hotel’s award-winning sister properties - The Oriental, Bangkok and Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London - received the number two and 15th positions respectively within the “25 Best Hotels in the World” category. With Mandarin Oriental’s exotic oriental roots, the publication also cited that the Asian hotel elite were a favourite on the winners’ rostrum.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel du Rh™ne, Geneva received four awards for both its employees and business services. Jumping two positions to number three within “Switzerland’s Best Business Hotels” and awarded “Climber of the Year”, Mandarin Oriental also received the number one position within Geneva. The magazine cited that the hotel was “in a class of its own within the country’s leading business hotels” and was “classical refinement coupled with modernity”. The publication further added that “Mandarin Oriental was unbeatable in terms of service that this was not by chance but a result of Switzerland’s best in-house training”.

Within the employee category, Mandarin Oriental was the only Swiss hotel to receive three of the 11 “best employee” awards that included “Bilanz Doorman of the Year” (Antonio Lettleri); “Bilanz Receptionist of the Year” (Veronique Belonie); and “Bilanz Service Team of the Year” (Michelin-star restaurant Le Neptune).

A living example of Swiss hotel tradition as its best, Mandarin Oriental Hotel du Rh™ne is ideally located on the River Rh™ne, sitting within the heart of Geneva’s business, shopping and historic districts.
