Qantas Appoints New Manager For Southern Africa

Qantas has appointed Charles Martin as its new manager for Southern Africa, based in Johannesburg.

Mr Martin, who joined Qantas in Melbourne in 1982 as a reservations clerk, will take up his new position from next Monday.

He has extensive sales and marketing experience in the aviation and tourism sectors.

For the past two years he has been Corporate Sales Manager for Qantas in Queensland and was previously Area Manager NSW Sales based in Sydney.


In 1997 Mr Martin spent six months in Bangkok as Sales Manager, Thailand, for Qantas/British Airways.

He succeeds Tommie Davies who has been appointed Manager for France and North-West Africa, based in Paris.
