Additional Services To Nigeria

Tuesday, 19 October, London: British Airways announces today that it is to operate three additional non-stop services from London to Lagos, Nigeria.


The airline currently operates a daily 747 400 from Gatwick to Lagos, and will now operate six services a week from Heathrow to Lagos in co-operation with Nigeria Airways.


The three additional services in co-operation with Nigeria Airways will start on December 3 and will depart London Heathrow on Mondays, Fridays and Saturday and return to Heathrow on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.


Bob Ayling, British Airways` Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to deepen our commitment to Nigeria by adding three additional services and giving our customers greater choice when travelling to and from Lagos. We have been co-operating with Nigeria Airways since last year and the partnership has gone from strength to strength.”


In the spirit of the partnership the new services will be operated by a British Airways` 747 aircraft painted in a new Nigeria Airways` livery , with a British Airways flight number and British Airways product and cabin service. Members of Nigeria Airways cabin crew will work alongside British Airways cabin crew.
