British Airways has entered into a period of exclusive negotiations with Taitbout Antibes BV, a European financial institution, regarding the sale of its 86 per cent holding in French subsidiary Participations Aeronautiques, parent company of Air Liberte.

Negotiations between the two companies are continuing with a view to reaching an agreement on definitive terms for the proposed sale.
