ADVICE FOR CUSTOMERS TRAVELLING WITH BRITISH AIRWAYS

British Airways is advising its customers to arrive for flights as normal today (Monday March 19) but regrets that there will be delays because of continuing problems with check-in systems.

Mike Street, Director of Customer Services and Operations, said: “We would like to apologise to all our customers and reassure them that we are doing everything we can to minimise the inconvenience.”

“The situation is under control, we have laid on extra staff in the terminals and the delays are beginning to shorten. In the meantime, we are offering our customers the chance to change their travel plans if they wish.”

The airline has set up a freephone number for customers wanting further information. The number to call is 0800 727800.
