It`s not too long before
school is out and time to think about having some fun in the sun.  America
West just made it a little easier to plan a family summer vacation in the
Sunshine state.

America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) today announced an Internet fare sale
for travel to four fabulous destinations in Florida including Orlando, Miami,
Fort Lauderdale and Tampa.  Now through May 5, 2002 reduced fares for those
destinations are available exclusively through the airline`s Web site
at http://www.americawest.com .

Customers can take advantage of these special fares for travel beginning
May 6 and completed by August 24, 2002.  Roundtrip tickets must be purchased
seven days in advance and a one-night stay is required.  The maximum stay is
30 days.

As an added value, customers will also receive 3,000 FlightFund bonus
miles for every roundtrip ticket purchased at americawest.com with travel
completed by Dec. 31, 2002.
