Basseterre, St. Kitts comes alive in June as the sixth annual St Kitts Music Festival takes flight. Since its inception in 1996 this Festival has staged many great acts including Shaka Khan, Bobby Caldwell, the Winans, Yolanda Adams and more. This year, St. Kitts will treat the Caribbean and the rest of the world to over 20 artistes including The Manhattans, Freddie McGregor, The Isley Brothers, Morgan Heritage and Square One.

St. Kitts is one of the airline`s 14 destinations and the Star will be moving patrons not only from around the islands to this event but will be connecting visitors to the festival from the US and UK out of their hubs in Antigua and Barbados.

Marketing Director for the airline, Sandra Scotland says that its support of this festival is in keeping with the airline`s plans to get involved in activities on all the islands to which they fly. Scotland says that last weekend the airline was a sponsor of the well known St. Lucia Jazz and this weekend they will be an integral part of the Caribbean`s latest music event - the Grenada Spice Jazz Festival.
