Multimap unveils brand new products

Multimap is
demonstrating two of its recently-launched industry-leading services to
the travel industry at the Travel Distribution Summit, Las Vegas.Multimap’s US team, invites attendees of the
show to try out the latest version of its API service and the
company’s cutting-edge new mobile services, Multimap2Mobile and
Storefinder4Mobile, at its stand (n.15).

The Multimap API v. 1.2 breaks new ground in bringing together
searching, routing, mapping, geocoding, and Points of Interest (POI) data
and imagery into a single one-stop service. The service gives businesses
unprecedented capability and control over their location services, and is
backed by Multimap’s industry-leading customer support. In addition to
introducing major new areas of functionality, the API takes the mapping
interface to a new level, adding overview maps, smooth zooming, automatic
de-cluttering of icons, and many other features.

Willem Mijnarends, Vice President, North American Sales, Multimap,
commented, “In the travel industry, location is of paramount importance
when people are researching a trip. And they expect to be able to see
exactly where a hotel or resort is as compared to the key attractions
around it, e.g., the beach or city center. Our maps deliver this
information quickly easy-to-read, up-to-date, dynamic format, and we now
make our location information available on mobile devices,” he
continued.

Multimap will also be demonstrating its two new mobile services,
Storefinder4Mobile and Multimap2Mobile, at the stand. Storefinder4Mobile
enables your customers to find out where your hotels or other physical
properties are, while they are out and about. They can search for the
nearest location using a ZIP code or placename, or be automatically
“found” by LBS, where available. Multimap then sends location details to
the customer’s mobile device. Multimap2Mobile allows consumers to send a
full-color, interactive map from your website to their mobile devices,
enabling them to take your location information “on the road” with them.
