21 March 2007:  Gulf Air has proved once again that it is unrivalled when it comes to excellence in onboard catering services.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards 2007, results of which were announced a few days ago, have conferred Gulf Air first place for Onboard Catering excellence in First Class and Business Class for 2006.

“We are delighted to be voted, for the fourth time in a row, for our on board catering excellence,” says Gulf Air Vice President Marketing and Sales Lee Shave.

“The fact that these awards are decided by the travelling public is a clear proof of our customers’ confidence in us and we greatly respect it.

Quality improvement is not an overnight process and we spare no efforts to keep up the goodwill we have earned from our passengers and in the aviation industry.”

The SkyTrax awards are the result of the most comprehensive analysis of product and service standards provided by airlines across the globe and have become a bench mark for the aviation industry.

“Winning the support of our discerning travellers consistently for four years is a wonderful achievement,” says Gulf Air Head of In-flight Services and Cabin Crew Michael Kent.

“It fuels our passion for ongoing improvement to service standards whilst upholding our guest’s support of Gulf Air’s in-flight products.

All credit to our in-flight services team, who have worked tirelessly to retain the leadership position in this most competitive category.”
