Ponte Vedra Inn unveils new spa

A sensory experience for the mind and body unlike any other in North Florida will be unveiled when The Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club opens its doors to the public on November 1, 2006. The new luxe Spa will replace the AAA Five-Diamond resort’s current facility with more than three times the space, 22 treatment rooms, a lavish salon, new services and an array of special features. Highlights include:

The Gathering Room - a grand social lounge and dining area with 30-foot-high ceilings and an open kitchen that will also be used for cooking demonstrations.

The Barbershop - this masculine retreat overlooks the resort’s famed Ocean Course’s #2 fairway. Featuring an old-fashioned barber chair for shaves and haircuts, this barbershop is updated with a wide-screen plasma television so important sporting events are not missed.

Personal Experiences - Special VIP rooms are designed with couples in mind, with wet bars and private baths for tandem treatments. Guests can individualize their experience through climate control and a choice of music through a state-of-the-art audio system.

Unique Water Features - opulent specialty pools and waterfalls with lush tropical landscaping, beverage and snack bar.

The new Spa reflects a global theme of textures, fabrics, and natural materials including mahogany, bamboo, limestone, stone and glass. Complementing this theme is a calming interior palette of seagrass, mint green, caramel and blond. Light sources include uplifting, natural light filtered through linen drapes as well as mood-evoking hanging decorative lanterns and aromatic candles.
