MAXjet launches Stansted-Vegas route

MAXjet Airways launches a new twice-weekly flight on Mondays and Thursdays from London Stansted to Las Vegas.The inaugural flight leaves from London Stansted on Thursday November 2, 2006.

Business class fares start at just GBP999 return, including all government taxes and fees and ticket sales begin on Friday September 1.

The new non-stop scheduled service departs London Stansted at 1:00 p.m. and arrives in Las Vegas McCarran International Airport at 5:00 p.m. the same day.

The flight from Las Vegas to London Stansted leaves at 7:30 p.m. and arrives in London at 12:30 p.m. the next day. This means that MAXjet will be offering the only evening non-stop service from Las Vegas to London.

CEO Gary Rogliano said: “The UK is the second largest market to visit Las Vegas and we are responding to customer demand for an affordable non-stop business class service from London. The addition of this new route also means that connections to and from US west coast are now much easier.”

In addition to adding the Las Vegas flights to its passenger schedule, MAXjet has taken the opportunity to revise its existing schedule with later departure times from New York, Washington D.C. and London.

The schedule change will be effective October 1, 2006. The six weekly New York flights will depart from London Stansted at 11.45 am and the return flight will leave JFK at 8:15 p.m. From Washington D.C., MAXjet’s four weekly flights will now depart Stansted at 3:00 p.m and the return will depart Dulles at 8:30 p.m. A complete schedule can be found on the MAXjet Web site.

“We decided to adjust our departures times following feedback received from our customers,” continued Gary Rogliano.

“The later departure times will give passengers more time to complete business over in the US and to avoid rush hour, but to still arrive in London the following day in time for a business lunch.
