PlacesToStay signs major US deal

The biggest homeworker travel agency business in the USA, InteleTravel.com, is signing a deal with online hotel reservation programme PlacesToStay.com.

Under the terms of the deal, announced today by PlacesToStay owner FEXCO AllTravel, thousands of part-time independent agents worldwide will be supplied with its hotel accommodation inventory of over 25,000 properties offering attractive rates and commission payments.

Tim Wright, FEXCO AllTravel’s head of distribution and business development, said: “This is a great deal with InteleTravel.com as it puts PlacesToStay on the desktops of many thousands of active agents in the US and abroad. InteleTravel.com is a seriously big business achieving many millions of dollars of sales through its home-based and other independent travel agents. I expect good booking volumes through the InteleTravel.com network as our hotel inventory extends its product range.

“Homeworker agents are a growing force here in the UK too, and I see good opportunities for online-based product suppliers like PlacesToStay. Quick, secure, always available and with a great range of hotels, PlacesToStay should be a natural supply partner for the homeworking community.

According to James Ferrara Sr, vice president of marketing for InteleTravel.com, “InteleTravel.com promises our independent agents and their customers the best value and selection in the online travel world. Preferred agreements like this one with PlacesToStay allow us to deliver on that promise.

“Thanks to cutting edge technology, with a click, our agents can now access 25,000 more hotel properties at the best rates - moving market share to PlacesToStay.com suppliers through the power of personal relationships and endorsements to their circles of influence,” he added.
