Information Networking Computing (INC) today announced it has contracted with EDS to provide Aeromexico
, an EDS client, with Runway® - the industry’s leading Travel Application Integration (TAI) platform.
The contract covers the enterprise-wide deployment of Runway and associated travel consulting services. Aeromexico will use the advanced middleware to integrate existing systems and to provide a common platform from which to launch new products and services.

“We have used Runway in the past and based on our positive experience we have now made the strategic decision to implement it for our enterprise application integration,” remarked Luis Angel Prado Garc’a, Operation Director, EDS. “Our business strategy includes the further development of our online services. Runway allows us to use our existing systems to provide these new and advanced services for our customers economically and rapidly.”

Aeromexico, one of the founding members of Skyteam, is well known for its high levels of service and uses SITA’s technology to provide online booking and tailored package tours for its customers.

“We are providing Aeromexico with the technical expertise and technology to eliminate the connectivity complexities, structures, and integration issues associated with legacy systems,” commented Robert Healy, Head of SITA INC Ireland. “By using Runway on an enterprise-wide level they can provide an even greater level of service to their customers in a cost efficient manner.”

Aeromexico is included in the growing number of airlines and travel companies that are gaining from the benefits of Runway - the biggest selling Travel Application Integration platform in the industry. Customers include Air New Zealand, Copa, Hotwire, Mexicana Airlines, Sabre, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and all 15 member carriers of the Star Alliance.
