Worldspan Introduces Go! Express to Guide Users Through Booking

Worldspan
today announced the global launch of Go! ExpressSM, a user-friendly application in Worldspan Go!SM that further simplifies and streamlines the reservations process. Designed to maximise efficiency for novice, intermediate and veteran users alike, Go! Express uses intuitive programming to “read” the user’s initial entry and displays clickable options for the next steps, reducing keystrokes, saving time and increasing productivity.

“By providing point-and-click functionality and simplified access to tools such as scripts and format assistance, Go! Express will be a useful productivity solution for all Worldspan Go! users, and substantially reduce training time for new users,” commented Graham Nichols
, Worldspan vice president for EMEA. “In addition, with Go! Express, travel agents can develop greater awareness of the full range of functionality available in the Worldspan system and book cars, hotels and air with even more confidence.”

Worldspan’s claims for Go! Express are endorsed by David O’Neill, managing director of Irish travel agency First Class Travel, one of a number of agencies across Europe that tested the solution. Said David, a 25-year veteran of the Irish travel industry: “As a leisure and corporate travel agency that adopted Worldspan’s Go! desktop PC solution late last year, we were interested to see what Go! Express would add to an already excellent tool. It’s certainly a novel application for us, and we’ve found it very useful in our agency environment. While it helps all levels of users, it’s particularly useful for new or novice users, saving a lot of time and effort through its intelligent analysis of what the user is actually entering. Go! Express also helps the more experienced users, especially when it comes to anticipating and displaying the more obscure entries that don’t come up that often. We like it.”

With its intuitive capabilities, Go! Express helps guide the user through selected booking processes for faster, more efficient reservations. Based on the user’s initial entry, Go! Express provides fast access to appropriate follow-up entries or scripts that can be executed with a simple point and click. An on/off toggle provides greater flexibility for the user. In its initial launch, Go! Express is available for several frequently-used booking functions, including Air, Car, Hotel, and Fares and Pricing. Other functional areas such as PNR completion and ticketing will be added in coming months. The Go! Express application is automatically downloaded to and integrated with Go! users’ desktop PCs.
