Flightserv.com To Acquire Travel Depot

flightserv.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of eResource Capital Group, has signed definitive documents to acquire Travel Depot & Cruises, Inc. (Travel Depot), subject to final approval of the Airline Reporting Corporation and the International Airlines Travel Agent Network.
If consummated, the acquisition will enable flightserv to negotiate wholesale or bulk-rate ticket purchases from commercial airlines and offer them to their customers as well as to other travel agencies.
Based in Stockbridge, Georgia, Travel Depot had annual sales in excess of $250,000 for calendar year 2000. Travel Depot will keep its name and become the retail division of flightserv for the sale of airline, hotel, car rental and cruise reservations.
flightserv`s new travel programmes are slated to become operational later this year. flightserv intends to sell these travel packages directly to the public. The travel packages are expected to include air, hotel, and ground transportation priced significantly less than they would be if each component were sold separately. With these programmes, Travel Depot hopes to serve as a clearinghouse for scheduled airline related packages.
Travel Depot & Cruises is a retail travel agency whose name will remain the same and will also provide travel arrangements for eResource Capital Group and its subsidiaries.
