Hotwire, launched last October, has added 19 international air carriers and 2 car rental companies to offer some of the lowest travel prices around.
Airlines that have now partnered with Hotwire are Aer Lingus, Air New Zealand, Alitalia, All Nippon Airways, American, America West, Cathay Pacific, Continental, Copa Airlines, Finnair, Grupo TACA, Hawaiian, Iberia, Icelandair, Lufthansa Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Mexicana Airlines, Northwest, Sabena, Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), Singapore Airlines, Swissair, TWA, United, USAirways,VARIG Brazilian Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Now Budget and Hertz provide specially negotiated car rental rates through Hotwire. To use Hotwire, customers simply enter their desired destination, and the dates they wish to travel. Within seconds, customers are quoted a low price and are given 30 minutes to purchase the travel from Hotwire. Unlike other sites, Hotwire customers are not locked into a commitment or asked to submit their credit card before they know exactly how much their purchase will cost.
