bmi joins forces with Groupon

Leading airline, bmi British Midland International, has become the first UK based airline to team up with popular promotions company Groupon, to give customers the chance to travel for better than half price.

Groupon followers are this week offered business class travel from Heathrow to Basel or Manchester to Basel for just £149, or Heathrow to Vienna for £169 as one of Groupon’s national daily deals on the best things to do, see, eat and buy across the UK.

To qualify for the exclusive deal, customers buy a voucher costing just £25, to gain access to the special deal where 2,000 Business Class seats are on offer for the special fare (including all taxes and charges).

Stuart Beamish, bmi Head of Marketing said: “The first ever Groupon offer for a UK airline has been very well received by the site’s followers. We’re seeing a great many vouchers being bought by customers who are keen to bag themselves a great value, business class vacation bargain.”
