Jamaica-based Trafalgar Travel has scored a record seventh consecutive World Travel Awards title, walking away with the trophy for the Caribbean’s Leading Travel Agency at a ceremony in Antigua.

Hosted by Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa, the World Travel Awards Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony rewarded the very best in regional hospitality.

Picking up the awards Trafalgar Travel regional general manager Simone DaSilva says: “It is an amazing feel to have won this title.

“We have now taken this award for seven consecutive years. 

“We have done this through excellent services, hard work, and total dedication to the travel industry.”

Trafalgar Travel is based in Jamaica and offers accommodation, flights, car rental and a host of other services across the Caribbean.

The brand was formed by four school friends in 1995, and has never looked back.

The brand presently employs 73 travel consultants, working alongside nine administrative staff, across 12 locations across Jamaica.

There are also offices in St Kitts, Barbados, Trinidad and Nassau.

Trafalgar Travel sales manager Steven Kerr explains: “World Travel Awards is an important brand here in the Caribbean.

“What it does is establishes is that our leadership is able to implement a vision, we are a team working toward a single goal.

“We also have the loyalty of our consumers here in the region.

But the brand is not resting on its laurels.

As marketing manager Olive McNaughton explains: “We have a number exciting things lined up for next year.

“We will be looking at sports travel, allowing guests to reach major sporting events here in the Caribbean

“There will also be a focus on incentive travel in Jamaica.”
