Vietnam Airlines is set to officially operate direct flights between Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh City and the Indian city of Mumbai, and launch online check-in services for passengers departing from Mumbai airport as of May 20.

Vietnam Airlines served over 18 million passengers this year, a huge improvement from the past two years. The Southeast Asian carrier hit almost three-quarters of its annual revenue compared to 2019 as its recovery continues.

Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines have signed a memorandum of understanding at Farnborough International Airshow to strengthen bilateral cooperation. The deal would cover both passengers and cargo, plus a potential codeshare.
