Taiwan Tourism Bureau comes to London for 2012
London Taxi Advertising is launching a full livery taxi advertising campaign for the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in London. Paul Tremarco, sales director at London Taxi Advertising contacted the tourism bureau to promote the effectiveness of taxi advertising as an Outdoor medium during the London 2012 Summer Olympics – a format they have never used before.

The Taiwan Tourism Bureau has officially launched its new global tourism promotion brand: ‘Taiwan – The Heart of Asia’. The new brand will play a part in further developing international markets as the Tourism Bureau steps up its activities to position Taiwan as a leading travel destination.
Taiwan moves towards Schengen visa exemption
The European Commission has proposed the addition of Taiwan to the list of countries whose citizens can visit without a visa. Exemptions are presently made for Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong or South Korea, with passport holders allowed to visit EU member states for up to 90 days.
Taiwan launches a new bus service for tourists
A new tourist bus service has launched in Puli, central Taiwan, to make it easier for independent travellers to tour some of the area’s most impressive visitor attractions. The local government developed the new bus service to cater to Puli’s increasing popularity for sightseeing.
Taiwan plans 37 new hotel developments
Following a record number of visitors during 2009, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has approved 37 new hotel investment projects on the island. The building of these new facilities, including large international tourist hotels, business properties and boutique hotels, will increase the number of guestrooms in Taiwan by more than 10,000.
Taiwan - The alternative stop-over destination
The recent historic launch of the first non-stop China Airlines flights from Taiwan to the United Kingdom allows the island to become a new stopover for UK travellers, with connecting flights to destinations such as Bali and Sydney.
China opens first Taiwan tourist office
In a landmark development signalling improved relations between the two former rivals, China will today open its first semi-official tourist office in Taiwan. The move is reciprocal, following the opening of a Chinese Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association office in Taipei earlier this week.
