Sabre Corporation has announced the development of the new Sabre Content Services for Lodging, a technology solution that will integrate multiple sources of content. These include the Sabre global distribution system and non-GDS sources such as aggregators, re-distributors, agency-sourced hotel content and other sources as identified.

Travel tech giant Sabre is to lay off more than 900 workers, amounting to more than nine per cent of its total global workforce. The news comes following a $6.5 million second-quarter loss at the company.

Sabre Corporation has announced the first-ever global distribution system partnership with the Lion Group full service Indonesia-based airline subsidiary, Batik Air.

Hospitality International has selected Sabre Hospitality Solutions as a preferred technology provider for its more than 280 hotels. Under the agreement, Hospitality International hotel owners will have access to Sabre’s best-in-class central reservation system, booking engine and call centre services.

Travel technology company Sabre Corporation has named Roshan Mendis as senior vice president of its global distribution system (GDS) and corporate travel business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa effective July 1. The appointment aligns with Sabre’s focus on continuing international growth.

Sabre Corporation will provide consulting services to several of its member airlines through a new agreement with the African Airlines Association. Ten carriers will take part in Sabre’s consulting programme – including Rwandair, South African Airways and Royal Air Maroc – which will include a comprehensive analysis of the airlines’ brands and customer satisfaction and will provide each airline with a Net Promoter Score.
