Qatar Airways boosts Istanbul flights
Qatar Airways, the Doha-based carrier, has upgraded its capacity on its Istanbul - Doha route, with an Airbus A330 aircraft. The introduction of the new wide-body aircraft results in an increased capacity on flights to Istanbul by 166 seats per day, a nearly 50 per cent increase.
Qatar Airways builds links with Jordan
Qatar Airways has added two additional flights between its hub in Doha and Amman, bringing the total number of services to Jordan to nine weekly flights. Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar Al Baker explained the extra capacity would be a great boost as it would improve connections from Amman to around 100 cities across the airline’s global network, offering passengers more choice with further convenience and flexibility to their travel plans.

Qatar Airways boosts Boeing 777-300ER fleet with Paris deal
Boeing and Qatar Airways have announced agreements for nine Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) airplanes at the 2013 Paris Air Show. The agreements include a firm order for two airplanes previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing Commercial Airplanes Orders and Deliveries website, plus a commitment for an additional seven airplanes.

Qatar Airways awaits delivery of first Airbus A380
Ahead of the planned 2014 delivery of the first Qatar Airways Airbus A380-800 on order, the airline today released the first image of the aircraft in partial livery from the manufacturer’s Toulouse assembly line in France. The traditional Oryx logo, which appears on Qatar Airways’ current mixed fleet of 124 aircraft, is clearly seen gracing the 24 metre high tail of the double-decker A380 superjumbo, and is sure to turn heads at airports worldwide once it is scheduled to enter service early next year.

Qatar Airways has announced its scheduled flights to and from the Seychelles will be suspended effective September 1st 2013 until further notice due to commercial reasons. The last of the daily services operating between the airline’s Doha hub and Seychelles International Airport on Mahe Island, will be on August 31st.
