Qatar Airways one step closer to joining A380 club
Qatar Airways has welcomed the delivery of its first A380 at a press at the Airbus Factory in Hamburg. With ten Airbus A380-800s on order, Qatar Airways is preparing to take delivery of four of them before the end of this year. Speaking at the press conference chief executive Akbar Al Baker said: “This has been a moment more than a decade in the making and we are so delighted to unveil a new passenger experience for our travellers.”

Qatar Airways has further strengthened its commitment to the Bucharest and Sofia routes by announcing an increase in flight frequency to the popular destinations in eastern Europe. Qatar Airways has announced a further expansion of its African operations with plans to launch scheduled flights to Eritrea’s capital city Asmara, effective December 4th 2014. The twice-weekly flights will operate from Doha to Asmara and will be served by an Airbus A320 featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy.
