Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has announced its first resort hotel in Europe will open later this summer. Kimpton Aysla Mallorca will operate year-round, and represents an important step in the European expansion of the IHG brand.

Boutique hotel brand Hotel Indigo has opened its first property in Austria, Hotel Indigo Vienna – Naschmarkt. Centrally located, the hotel is a short walk from the city’s historic centre, the ‘Margareten’ district, a culturally diverse neighbourhood, including everything from 19th century architecture to relaxed eateries and secret gardens offering sanctuaries to both travellers and locals alike.

Ibiza’s hotly anticipated TRS Ibiza Hotel has opened its doors. Billed as the island’s first premium, all-inclusive, adult-only hotel, the opening also heralds the European debut of Mexico-based TRS Hotels.

Marriott has announced plans for the new-build Munich Marriott Hotel City West in the lively Westend district. Slated to open at the end of 2022, the hotel will feature 402 guest rooms and suites and almost 5,000 square meters of public space.

Mandarin Oriental is expanding its presence in London with the opening of Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London this winter.
