Fresh from its naming earlier this month as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Meetings & Convention Destination’ at the World Travel Awards, Abu Dhabi is turning on the charm at this week’s IMEX in Germany – Europe’s leading meetings industry exhibition – to build on its growing business tourism reputation. Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority has led a 22-strong delegation to the Frankfurt show, which features a mix of hotels, convention venues, Etihad Airways, major attractions and professional conference organisers.

IMEX in Frankfurt opened earlier today in Messe Frankfurt’s Hall 8 with the announcement that the leading trade show for the international meetings, events and incentive travel industry has grown again in 2014. New stands, stand increases from existing exhibitors, the biggest education programme ever and the scale and diversity of the hosted buyer programme are the defining features of this year’s exhibition.

The 2014 edition of IMEX in Frankfurt, the leading trade show for the international meetings, incentive travel and events industry, will be the biggest in its 12 year history. More than 60 new stands will be on offer to visitors, while 50 exhibitors have taken larger stands to promote their products and services.
