Introducing the IMEX Challenge team
The IMEX Challenge is a biennial humanitarian initiative designed to give meetings industry professionals the chance to work side by side in a physical challenge that will benefit the host community. The second Challenge takes place from 2-4 July 2012 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The IMEX Challenge team is working to support CUDV Draga – a residential Care Centre for mentally and physically handicapped children and adults – and the Slovenian BeBee campaign, which supports the habitat of declining bee colonies.

New IMEX TV, App and social media team set to give new face to IMEX in Frankfurt 2012. The 10th anniversary edition of IMEX in Frankfurt, opening next Tuesday May 22nd at Messe Frankfurt, is set to be the most televised and ‘talked about’ in the show’s 10 year history.

Sir Rocco Forte will join up to 70 industry leaders and 30 international politicians at the prestigious Rocco Forte Hotel, the Villa Kennedy, for the 10th Politicians Forum at IMEX in Frankfurt on May 22nd. IMEX rolls out waste reduction campaign
A campaign to reduce overall waste output from the IMEX in Frankfurt trade show, whether recyclable or not, has seen waste levels reduce significantly over the past 3 years. The total amount of waste generated went down from 167 tons in 2009 to 121 tons in 2011, a reduction of 28 percent.

Global buyers back IMEX
With nearly 3,900 hosted buyers amongst a record of almost 9,000 trade visitors, IMEX in Frankfurt 2011 produced record highs, including over 57,000 appointments across the 3 days of the show. With hosted buyers now travelling from 68 countries both the number and range of business opportunities grew once again.
