City bike ride - The Sun Trip: On the Way to Astana EXPO 2017
Today, on the 17th of August, 2013, Astana celebrated the Day of Sport and also finalised the week of sports in the city by conducting a series of sport events. More than 1,000 people took part in a group exercise named “Go get charged with energy of life!”, a Presidential mile marathon and the Sun Trip bike ride.

From 30 July to 1 August the Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales is paying working visit to Astana. During the Secretary General’s visit preparation of the Registration Dossier of the International Specialised Exhibition EXPO-2017 will be discussed. Within a few days separate chapters of the Registration Dossier will be presented to Loscertales.
New logo for Astana EXPO-2017 is chosen
Inside the government house, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan a subsequent meeting of the State Commission was held, regarding the preparation and hosting of the International specialised exhibition EXPO-2017. Members of the State Commission were presented with two options, chosen during the national online voting.

On July 5, 2013, in honor of the 15th anniversary of the capital city of Kazakhstan, an art facility in support for the International specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 was opened in the shopping center “Keruen” in Astana city.
Expo 2107: Bicycle parking
In honor of the 15-th anniversary of Astana city, the new bicycle parking will appear on the 3-rd July 2013 near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
