Inside the government house, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan a subsequent meeting of the State Commission was held, regarding the preparation and hosting of the International specialised exhibition EXPO-2017. Members of the State Commission were presented with two options, chosen during the national online voting.
During four months 27 designers from 18 countries worldwide have been working on the logo of the EXPO 2017 exhibition. In total, 56 logos were created. Out of these, seven best options were selected, all of which were offered for voting.
Starting from the 9th of July, citizens of Kazakhstan were given the choice of selecting the trademark of EXPO 2017. The voting ended on the 22nd of July 2013 at 00:00 Astana time.
More than ten thousand people have given their preference to their favorites. The new logos were actively discussed on various online resources and social networks. Users of Facebook, VK, Twitter have themselves set up special pages regarding the voting.
During the course of the public voting two options were leading far ahead of the others. These were the “Green Energy” and the “Wind Energy” logos.
By the decision of the State Commission -“Wind Energy” was approved as the new logo of the International specialised exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
The next step ahead is the development of the brand-book for the corporate merchandise and registering the trademark at the international and national levels.
