Qantas urges airline manufacturers to cross final frontier
Qantas has urged aircraft manufacturers to go the extra mile and develop an aircraft that is able to link Australia to anywhere in the world. “We want the hop to be completely eradicated,” said Gareth Evans, chief executive, international, at Qantas.

Etihad brings Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Lebanon route
Etihad Airways today introduced the Boeing 787-9 on its scheduled daily service from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, to Beirut, Lebanon. The new 787 Dreamliner service replaces the Airbus A321 aircraft previously operating the airline’s EY535/EY538 flights to and from the Lebanese capital.

Virgin Atlantic showcases 787 Dreamliner on London Heathrow-Seattle route
Virgin Atlantic is flying a new daily service between London Heathrow and Seattle replacing the flight currently operated by joint venture partner Delta Air Lines. The new service is operated by the airline’s newest, most fuel efficient aircraft, the Boeing 787-9, and will add more than 40,000 extra seats each year between the two cities.
Korean Air to bring Boeing Dreamliner 747-8i to Heathrow
South Korea’s flagship airline, has announced from March 26th, it will have a mixed fleet operating between London Heathrow and Incheon, Seoul. Both Korean Air’s acclaimed A380 and the latest Boeing 747-8i will be used on the route, and Korean Air’s B747-8i will be the first commercial passenger aircraft of its kind to land at Heathrow.
