Air Europa brings Dreamliner to Havana route
Air Europa is celebrating the arrival of its sixth Dreamliner Boeing 787-8 and commencing has utilised the brand new aircraft on its daily Madrid-Havana route. The flight to Cuba connects perfectly with the Air Europa twice-daily flights between London Gatwick and Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport.
Korean Air reveals first Boeing Dreamliner 787-9
Korean Air has unveiled its brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at Incheon Airport. Walter Cho, president of Korean Air, was present at a ceremony at the Korean Air hangar to unveil Korea’s very first Dreamliner to the public.
Oman Air boosts fleet with new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Oman Air continues its ambitious 2017 expansion plans with three new additions to the fleet. The latest aircraft is the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which joins in addition to the two new 737-800s which were added to the fleet earlier this year.
Korean Air takes delivery of first Dreamliner 787-9 from Boeing
Boeing and Korean Air today celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first 787-9 Dreamliner. The Seoul-based carrier will be the first Korean carrier to operate the 787-9 Dreamliner in the country.
Boeing debuts 787-10 Dreamliner in South Carolina
The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, the third member of the 787 Dreamliner family, made its debut earlier at Boeing South Carolina. Thousands of employees at the North Charleston site celebrated the event, along with US president Donald Trump and South Carolina governor Henry McMaster.
Juneyao Airlines places five Dreamliner order with Boeing
Boeing and Juneyao Airlines have finalised an order for five 787-9 Dreamliners, valued at about $1.32 billion at current list prices. This new order, which also includes options for five more 787-9s, represents the Shanghai-based private airline’s first Boeing order and first wide-body airplane order.
Singapore Airlines announces 39 plane Boeing order
Singapore Airlines has announced its commitment to purchase 20 777-9s and 19 787-10 Dreamliners from Boeing. The national carrier and 787-10 launch customer also announced its recommitment for its previous order for 30 787-10 airplanes.
Boeing delivers 500th Dreamliner, to Avianca
Boeing has delivered the 500th 787 Dreamliner, a 787-8 to Avianca, marking another milestone in the program’s history. “Achieving 500 deliveries – the fastest to 500 for twin aisles – is a great accomplishment, made possible by the hard work and dedication of our employees and global suppliers,” said Mark Jenks, vice president and general manager, 787 program, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Final construction begins on first Boeing Dreamliner 787-10
Boeing has started final assembly of the first 787-10 Dreamliner, marking another on-time milestone for the development program. The first 787-10 will cycle through Boeing South Carolina’s Final Assembly facility as all major sections are joined, interior and exterior components completed, power turned on and production tests begin.
Air France becomes latest airline to join Boeing Dreamliner club
Boeing and AerCap have delivered the first 787 to Air France. The airplane, a 787-9, signifies the delivery of AerCap’s 50th Dreamliner and will be deployed on Air France’s Paris to Cairo route starting in January. The airplane is also the 500th 787 produced on Boeing’s production lines.
Vietnam Airlines receives latest Boeing Dreamliner
Boeing and Vietnam Airlines have celebrated the delivery of the flag carrier’s tenth 787-9 Dreamliner. “Vietnam Airlines is proud to welcome our 10th Boeing 787 Dreamliner on behalf of Vietnam Airlines, only 16 months after we took delivery of the first of these state-of-the-art new aircraft,” said Phan Xuan Duc, executive vice president, Vietnam Airlines.
Donghai Airlines completes $1.32bn Boeing Dreamliner order
Boeing and Donghai Airlines have announced the finalisation of an order for five 787-9 Dreamliners, valued at $1.32 billion at current list prices. Shenzhen-based Donghai Airlines announced its intent to order 25 737 MAX 8s and five 787-9 Dreamliners in July at the Farnborough International Airshow.
