The 8th annual Seychelles Escapades in France

After completing its first successful week, taking the Seychelles destination and its selective products through various parts of France in the form of luxurious presentations provided by participating Seychelles hotels and airline partners, the Seychelles continues to be a firm favorite among the French travel professionals.

This was clearly seen in the successful turnout of travel agents during the events in the different cities strategically chosen by the Seychelles Tourism Board in France.

The events were held in a “train and dine” format proving most popular among the attendees – both faithful and potential partners. The success of this 8th Escapades – the dedicated Seychelles roadshow organized by the Seychelles Tourism Board in France, has been a popular and possible event for the last 8 years due to the continuous support and efforts of their faithful trade partners who are committed to the French tourism market. This strong partnership between the local partners and the Seychelles Tourism Board in France has contributed to the overall awareness of the destination and increase in figures from France over the years to the Seychelles.

The twelve-strong member delegations led by the Seychelles Tourism Board European Director in France, Bernadette Willemin, and her team, consisted of Air Seychelles and Air France represented by Gilles Gosselin and Christine Lacastaigneratte and their respective sales teams. The various participating hotels were: Banyan Tree Seychelles – Tinaz Wadia; Hotel Coco de Mer and Black Parrot Suites – Ash Behari; Indian Ocean Lodge and Denis Island Private - Ravinia Larue; Ste. Anne Resort and Spa – Véronique Ibrard and team; Desroches Island – Amanda Lang; Le Domaine de l’Orangeraie and Cat Cocos – Guillaume Albert; Constance Hotels Experience – Fabienne Joliton and Johan Payette; Hotel L’Archipel – IsabelleTuron-Lagau; and Hilton Seychelles – Isabelle Lestrat.

Attendance was enhanced due to the presence and support of the various French tour operators and their representatives. The Escapades continues its geographical footprint further into France for a second consecutive week bringing the Seychelles destination into greater focus.
