Recently-appointed Seychelles Ambassador, Mr. Waven William, has been accredited as the new Resident High Commissioner for Seychelles in India in a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan (residence of the President of India), New Delhi.

High Commissioner Waven William presented his letter of credentials to the President of the Republic of India, SMT. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, making him only the second High Commissioner accredited to India.

The High Commissioner is now currently in Seychelles to participate in the state visit of President Patil.

The first Seychelles High Commissioner to India was Mr. Dick Esparon who served in post from February 2008.
