National Geographic Channel takes to the high seas with Costa Cruises

Keeping 3,800 passengers happy on a ship the same length as London Bridge; more powerful than 200 Ferraris and heavier than 600 jumbo jets is no easy feat.  But it makes for reality television magic.

One thousand crew members of Costa Cruises Italian luxury ship, Costa Serena, are caught on camera with all hands on deck to ensure everything runs smoothly in this new series to set air on National Geographic Channel.

Premiering on 7 February 2010 at 7pm on National Geographic Channel, the six-part series, CRUISE SHIP DIARIES exposes life behind-the-scenes on Europe’s favourite cruise liner.

Cameras trailing crew members into restricted areas give viewers an all-access pass as the drama unfolds.

From tempestuous honeymoon trysts, to the ship’s entertainers squaring up to the feisty choreographers. From dramatic medical emergencies to dirty dancing… it is all on board and on view.
