Clearer skies forecast from London Luton Airport

Clearer skies forecast from London Luton Airport

London Luton Airport is expecting close to 120,000 passengers to travel through the Airport over the early May Bank Holiday period; one of the busiest weekends of the year.

Sun destinations remain hugely popular as families get away from the UK weather to have a well earned holiday. Aside from the ever popular south of France, Spanish mainland, and Balearic and Canary Islands, growth destinations this year include Bulgaria, Egypt, Romania, and Turkey.

City breaks continue to be popular including such destinations as Dublin, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Prague, with passengers taking advantage of the extensive route network and low fares on offer from London Luton.

Among new services launched from London Luton Airport already in 2010 are Bratislava, Bucharest, Sibiu and Riga with further inroads into Turkey and Greece to follow shortly.

Simon Harley, Airline Manager, London Luton Airport, said, “With a constantly expanding network of routes now making up nearly 100 destinations, we continue to serve the requirements of both the business and leisure traveller”.
