HubX Transforms HHA Reservations Center

Just three months after converting online
reservations capabilities to HubX, the National Trust Historic Hotels of
America reservations center is reporting a five-fold increase in online
bookings.

Challenge:  National Trust Historic Hotels of America
(HHA) is a 185-member
marketing consortium of historically significant hotels that have faithfully maintained their historic architecture and
ambiance. HHA needed to transform its reservation office from a disconnected
`order-entry` operation into a dynamic sales center as it moved forward on
several fronts to provide forward-looking marketing capabilities and online
resources to its members.

Solution:  Following a year-long process, HHA selected HubX
for
Internet distribution services, private-label voice call center and
reservations processing through the global distribution systems (GDS). The
choice was attributed to HubX`s innovative technology, affordable pricing
and proven production capabilities. The first step was search engine
optimization and a streamlined booking process on the HHA website.

Results: “We are taking a quantum leap forward in growing revenue for
our members,” said Thierry Roch, executive director of Historic Hotels of
America. Just three months after converting to the HubX online booking
engine and search engine optimization techniques, the HHA reservations
center is reporting a five -fold increase in online bookings, with 354
reservations in July compared to 71 in June. As properties increase their
available web inventory, take advantage of HubX search engine optimization,
and in many cases, install the Historic Hotels website booking engine on
their own property websites, reservations are expected to continue to grow
exponentially.

The drive to increase reservations and reduce costs for Historic Hotels
properties doesn`t end with search engine optimization and booking process
improvements. “Ultimately, HubX`s direct two-way interface will allow all of
the different hotel property management systems (PMS) used by Historic
Hotels members to accept electronic reservations automatically from Internet
booking engines, without manual intervention, thereby lessening the
administrative burden on hotel staff and resulting in additional
efficiencies,” said HubX President & CEO Mike Murray
. “That interface is
still in installation mode; but interest certainly is being accelerated by
the increases in reservations now being experienced by Historic Hotels
properties.”
