New Appointment for GetThere

, a Sabre Company, a provider of online corporate travel reservation systems, has announced that Cheryl Hutchinson has joined the company as Director of Strategic Development.
She will develop strategies and programs focused on further automating the online corporate travel reservation process, including driving greater use of online technology within corporations.
Hutchinson was most recently at American Management Systems (AMS), where she managed a $110 million corporate travel, meetings and entertainment program, and was one of the travel industry`s earliest and most successful adopters of online corporate booking and travel automation technology. She helped AMS drive down travel costs by moving 80 percent of its bookings through its online booking system, 90 percent of them without any agent intervention. Hutchinson is currently the president of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE).
