Internet Company Takes Over A Travel Operation

The Australian internet company Internova, has teamed up with a tourism industry consortium and bought the Ansett travel arm Traveland.

The Australian internet company Internova, a company that has traditionally provided Web design, e-commerce, intranet, site hosting and systems integration services to big and small businesses and government authorities has teamed up with a tourism industry consortium and bought the Ansett travel arm Traveland.


Internova will run Traveland`s 104 stores and 275 franchise operations. Traveland`s ongoing liabilities of about $25 million will continue to be managed by Andersen. “Internova is just acquiring the assets,” Mr Madden said. “The liabilities will continue to be managed by the administrator and dealt with over the coming days.”
