Experience an Exclusive 19th Century Resort in Turks & Caicos

Destination specialist Wimco, the Newport, RI, and London-based luxury villa and hotel reservations company, has added a virtually undiscovered island, Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos, to its growing list of Caribbean musts.
On Providenciales, Wimco offers a 19th century, West Indies-style culture and travel experience in a 5-night getaway from April 14 to Dec. 23, 2004, to Point Grace, the island’s exclusive suites and cottages resort. Point Grace was listed on last year’s Conde Nast Traveler Gold List.

Guests lodge in one-bedroom cottage suites, enjoy three dinners, daily continental breakfast, two 60-minute Thalasso spa sessions in treatment cottages offering a rub with a gorgeous view, a half-day beach cruise and snorkeling trip and roundtrip airport transfers for $3,330 per couple, inclusive of taxes and service charges.

Throughout the resort a unique collection of African tribal crafts and artwork, in the tradition of the great expressionist masters, is thoughtfully utilized to lend an exotic and refined insight into the culture and travel experience of the turn-of-century West Indian traveler.

En suite are exclusive bath amenities by Ednae, Frette linens and the daily New York Times fax. Guests are invited to mingle over early evening drinks and canapés and join a weekly cocktail party hosted by General Manager Andrew Hedley. Resort guests can access the championship golf and tennis facilities at the Provo Golf and Country Club, just 5 minutes away by Rolls Royce that once belong to actor Kirk Douglas. Complimentary are a business center for e-mail/Internet access, a library with CD/DVD selections, bicycles and selected water sports.

Morning and noon meals are taken poolside; dinners are enjoyed at the 62-seat Grace’s Cottage where Chef Deiarmuid Murphy serves a light, gourmet Caribbean-Asian cuisine that showcases the region’s strong ethnic influences and finest indigenous foods.
