Broutta appointed destination owner for Australia at Flight Centre

Flight Centre Travel Group has appointed Leanne Broutta as its new destination owner for Australia and New Zealand.

Broutta joins Flight Centre from Trailfinders, where she was responsible for managing the company’s Australasia product.

During her nine years in the travel industry, she has worked her way from a travel consultant right up to a product.

The group’s destination owners work closely with the company’s product teams as well as contacts in-destination around the world to deliver its customers truly unique and superior experiences.

Flight Centre’s tailormade ranges, Journeys and Escapes, are at the heart of this and something Leanne will be keenly focused on developing.

She said: “I am thrilled to be starting at Flight Centre Travel Group and taking on a fresh challenge.

“I’ve travelled extensively through Australasia and am looking forward to using my broad knowledge of the destination in my new role.”

Flight Centre Travel Group is one of the largest and most successful travel retailers and has several retail brands in the UK including Flight Centre, Round the World Experts and Student Universe.

Since establishing its first store in 1995, the Flight Centre brand has grown to over 80 stores in the UK and Ireland with new outlets opening regularly.

The company has 2,500 stores and over 18,000 employees globally.

Mick Heitzinger, product director, Flight Centre, said: “It’s so exciting to have Leanne joining us.

“As the world’s number one travel retailer to Australia, it’s vital that our destination knowledge is second to none and Leanne’s fantastic experience certainly fits the bill.”
