Heathrow to bring driverless cars to London roads

Heathrow will be working in collaboration with Westfield Sportscars, and Oxbotica, to develop new automated pods for public trials this summer. Using entirely British engineering and software capabilities, the three companies will develop pods capable of operating fully autonomously and safely on the streets of London, as part of the GATEway driverless car project in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced an exclusive agreement with Heathrow Airport, to develop two hotels directly connected to London Heathrow Terminal 4. The two adjoining hotels, Crowne Plaza London - Heathrow Terminal 4 and Holiday Inn Express London - Heathrow Terminal 4, are due to open in 2018. The new hotels will operate under a franchise agreement with IHG and will be managed by Arora Hotels, a division of The Arora Group.
