Crystal Mozart launches live view cameras in industry first
Less than two months after embarking on her maiden voyage from Vienna, Crystal River Cruises’ Crystal Mozart has launched live view cameras – a river industry first – from three vantage points aboard the luxurious vessel. Travellers seeking a glimpse of the enchanting medieval villages, expansive landscapes and stunning cities on Crystal Mozart’s route along the Danube, can now select the “Live Views” option on Crystal’s newly redesigned homepage, and enjoy real time views of the ship’s position.
Crystal River Cruises celebrates double keel laying ceremony
Crystal River Cruises took an important step toward expanding its growing fleet earlier as the keel was laid for the company’s first two new build vessels, Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler. During a ceremony at MV WERFTEN shipyard in Wismar, building of the “Rhine Class” luxury river yachts officially commenced. In summer 2017, the two ultra-luxury vessels are set to embark on their maiden voyages along Europe’s mightiest rivers: the Rhine, Main and Danube.
Crystal River Cruises to focus on central Europe
Following the successful launch of its first luxury river yacht, Crystal Mozart, Crystal River Cruises has announced it will increase its presence on the Danube, Main and Rhine, deploying four of its planned new build river yachts in the region over the next two years. Based on guest feedback lauding the itineraries planned in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Amsterdam and Holland, the company has elected to delay its entrance into the French river cruise market, choosing instead to prioritise its offerings in the German/Austrian region in order to meet travellers’ demand for those experiences.
Gürtler to welcome Crystal Mozart to European cruising
Crystal River Cruises has announced Elisabeth Gürtler as the godmother of its first river ship, Crystal Mozart. On July 11th, the vessel will be officially welcomed to the fleet in Vienna in a christening ceremony that will culminate when the ship’s newly announced godmother breaks the customary champagne against the bow.
Crystal River Cruises expands new ship order
Crystal River Cruises has ordered five luxury river yachts – three more than previously announced – with the first ultra-luxury river vessel set to be delivered in 2016, a full year earlier than planned. President Edie Rodriguez announced earlier four newly built Crystal river yachts – twice the originally planned deployment – have been ordered for delivery in 2017 from the German shipyard Lloyd Werft.
