von Essen’s Seaham Hall Hotel moves to Metropolitan Set

von Essen hotels today announces that its North East property, Seaham Hall Hotel in County Durham, is to be repositioned as one of the collections’ newly established Metropolitan hotels.

Seaham Hall hotel moves from the Country Set to join von Essen’s Forbury Hotel in Reading and the soon-to-launch Hotel Verta in Bridges Wharf, in the growing Metropolitan set of hotels.

The repositioning of Seaham Hall is a result of von Essen hotel’s careful consideration of customer expectation across all of its properties. The guest experience at modern properties such as Seaham, The Forbury and Verta will be quite different to that of properties in the Classic Set, which are generally characterised by imposing, grand or stately historical buildings, or to that of the more intimate, cosy, rural feel of the Country Set for example.

What unites the three von Essen hotels in the Metropolitan Set is primarily the stunning contemporary design but also an exceptional business and meetings offering and a proximity to business hubs, thus catering especially well for the needs of the business and conference customer as well as the leisure guest.

Seaham Hall is the leading luxury hotel and spa destination resort in Northern England and the only 5 star hotel in the North East. The hotel is located on a beautiful cliff top on the seafront and just 20 minutes from Newcastle and Durham.
