Verbena spa looks to exciting future with new manager

The Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa in Helmsley, North Yorkshire has appointed a new Spa Manager to oversee the operations of its luxury spa facility. Diane Collins brings with her a wealth of experience in the spa industry and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Verbena Spa, as well as ensuring the high standards of service are maintained.

Diane will manage the 16 spa staff who are responsible for providing luxury treatments in the spa which features a spa garden, outdoor heated pool and hot tub and the Heat Experience which encompasses an Aromatherapy Room, Salt Vapour Room, Saunarium, Monsoon Feature Shower, The Ice Cave, Foot Spa and Rasul.

Diane held the position of Spa and Leisure Facility Manager at Isle of Eriska, Scotland prior to joining The Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa. She was also employed at Spa Resources International in Dubai, where she managed the only internationally recognised beauty training school in the Middle East at the time. Diane is also a qualified Further Education Lecturer, and has previously taught beauty therapy at the Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy for 17 years before moving on to the role of International Examiner for Cidesco.

Speaking of her new role Diane says: “I’m thrilled to have been appointed as the new Manager at the Verbena Spa; its reputation precedes itself not only nationally, but internationally. Through previous roles I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some exceptional spas, which have all had their own theme and special ambiance, the likes of which is often very hard to replicate. I hope to bring this knowledge and awareness to the Verbena Spa and work with staff to create a spa journey and experience that no other facility in the region can provide, leaving guests with a truly memorable visit.

“Recently there have been some exciting developments at the spa, with the introduction of new Japanese style cuisine to the Spa-tisserie menu, as well as tailored spa packages, providing guests with even more ways to get the most out of their experience. I look forward to seeing the spa flourish even further and with my support move forward to the next level.”

Her vast wealth of experience will drive the spa forward and ensure we are continually enhancing our service offering. It has been an exciting year for both the spa and the hotel, with our refurbished restaurant recently re-launching and a strengthening of the management team, so Diane joins at a pivotal time as we look towards ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry and continue to provide unique and truly memorable visits for our guests.”
