The five heads of the different islands in the Indian Ocean now grouped together as the Vanilla Islands have launched their joint magazine to promote their islands as a united group of tourism destinations. One by one the heads of tourism of La Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Mayotte took to the podium and aired the unique selling points of their islands.

This was the real launch of the working-together spirit that has now united these islands of the Indian Ocean, and more joint events to position the islands are set to be organized in the near future.

Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, said after the press conference that with the unity of these islands of the Vanilla Islands of the Indian Ocean, the unique selling points of one island becomes the unique selling points of the group of the Vanilla Islands. This will help to better position the Indian Ocean islands and grow the tourism cake of the area as a whole,” said Alain St.Ange.
