Triptease, a new travel app offering the best in travel reviews in a great looking, image-led, highly shareable format, has launched at the Launch Festival San Francisco following a pitch by UK founder, entrepreneur Charlie Osmond.

Travel photography and videos are the most shared content across social media yet travel reviews are rarely shared as they are text heavy and unattractive.

Triptease allows discerning travellers to upload a favourite image, add a headline, text and choose stylish graphics.

The end result resembles a piece of editorial from a glossy magazine, ready to be shared with savvy travellers across social platforms.

Contributors and content will be vetted to ensure the highest quality and inspirational reviews get precedence.

Users can find and follow people like them using a similar mechanism to Twitter and tapping into that all important ‘people like us’ mentality.

Triptease is built for iPad, the biggest mobile platform for travel bookings and the perfect medium for browsing beautiful reviews.

“Our aim is to change the face of travel reviews from bland and boring to beautiful and inspiring with content that is designed and destined for sharing,” Osmond explained.
