Tiger Airways Australia moves into Alice Springs

Adventures into the Red Centre of Australia are going to be even easier from now on, thanks to two new routes being introduced by Tiger Airways Australia to Alice Springs.

Four weekly return services between Melbourne and Alice Springs and between Sydney and Alice Springs will commence from April 9th 2013.

Tiger Airways is offering a special introductory fare on the new routes, starting from £65.81 each way. 

Fleur Burrows, regional manager for Tourism Northern Territory, said: “This is great news and will help us continue to drive bookings to Alice Springs and raise Alice’s profile to international visitors.

“These new routes have the potential to deliver over 5,000 additional visitor seats weekly through Alice Springs Airport.”

Flight TT436 will depart Melbourne on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 09:00 and arrive in Alice Springs at 11:20 local time, with same day returns (TT437), departing Alice Springs at 11:50 and arriving at 14:55.

Flight TT952 will depart Sydney on Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 06:40 and arriving in Alice Springs at 9:30 local time, with same day returns (TT953), departing Alice Springs at 10:00 and arriving at 13:15.

The new service will operate on an A320 aircraft, offering economy cabins.
