The Liberty Hotel in Boston joins the Luxury Collection Portfolio

The owners of the Liberty Hotel in Boston have signed a license agreement for the award winning historic property making the Liberty the 100th property to join Starwood’s Luxury Brands: St. Regis & The Luxury Collection, and its first in Boston. With this milestone, Starwood continues to stand out as the world’s leader in luxury hospitality with more hotels in more markets than any competitors in this segment, offering guests exceptional service levels and luxury experiences in a wide range of destinations across the globe.

The Luxury Collection brand is a diverse ensemble of more than 75 of the world’s finest hotels and resorts in more than 30 countries. All of these hotels, many of them centuries old, are internationally recognised as being among the world’s finest. As a National Historic Landmark built in 1851, The Liberty Hotel is the perfect fit for The Luxury Collection. Once the storied Charles Street Jail, The Liberty’s unique ability to marry architectural authenticity with the high standards of refined, modern travel make the hotel New England’s premier luxury destination.

Sitting at the foot of Boston’s Beacon Hill and overlooking the Charles River, The Liberty Hotel is a 300-room urban retreat. The building preserves the original structure’s commanding 90-foot central rotunda, soaring ceilings, exposed-brick walls, and authentic portions of its historic jail cells. Three floors of balconies are restored prison catwalks, and the property includes a landscaped courtyard designed to be a hidden gem in the Beacon Hill neighbourhood.
